Technical Areas

Morpho Sciences specializes in S&T program strategy and development in fundamental and translational research. We focus on nanomaterials, particularly in multidisciplinary areas such as nanotherapeutics and nanomaterials for biomedical applications, photonic and bioinspired photonic systems, nanomaterials for power and energy and other nanostructured functional materials.

Nanomaterials and Nanostructured Materials – Functional materials that are sized, or have critical feature sizes, in the nanoscale

  • Nanotherapeutics and Biomedical Research – Novel nanostructured or nano-encapsulated therapeutics for targeted drug delivery; materials for the biotic/abiotic interface; sensors and assays; and neurointerface and neuroimaging
  • High-Performance Electronics – Heterogeneous integration, vacuum electronics, and novel materials
  • Photonics and Bioinspired Photonic Systems – Quantum cascade lasers; photonic systems for sensing and imaging; and novel photonic systems inspired by natural photonics
  • Green Technologies – Nanomaterials for renewable energy such as photovoltaics and thermoelectrics, and materials for novel device and display technologies
